Oasis Food Pantry
Every Saturday, 8:30 AM - 10:00 AM, from 01/07/2012 to 05/26/2012
More than 50% of our kids today are growing up in single parent homes. Families on one income in Los Angeles often live paycheck to paycheck. Due to our economy, many families struggle to provide groceries for their home. The homeless in our city are also hurting and hungry.
The Oasis Food Pantry exists to care for the members of our church and our local community who are going through a difficult time. The group meets at 8:30 on Saturday mornings and from 9-10 am, and at all of our weekend services, we provide groceries for those in need.

Oasis Adult Literacy Group
Every Saturday, 2:00 PM - 5:00 PM, from 03/03/2012 to 05/26/2012
Los Angeles has the highest rate of so-called undereducated adults of any major U.S. metropolitan area. Low-literacy rates reached 65% on the Eastside and 84% in South Los Angeles. Many residents have trouble reading signs, filling out job applications and understanding utility bills.
Hopefully, in 2012, we can change the 50%a adult drop out rate in literacy programs in LA. Tutoring times may vary, but every Saturday at 2pm the outreach group will meet to prep for tutoring sessions.

Alpha Course
Every Saturday, 8:00 PM - 9:45 PM, from 03/03/2012 to 05/19/2012
Welcome to Alpha Course!
Alpha is an opportunity to explore the meaning of life in a relaxed, friendly setting. The Alpha Course will meet for 11 weeks, and includes an amazing one-day or weekend getaway. The first 11-week course of 2012 at Oasis begins Saturday night, March 3rd at 8 pm.
Each session, people enjoy great food, laughter and learning in a fun and friendly atmosphere where no question about life or God is seen as too simple or too hostile…questions like—Is there a God? Why am I here? Where did I come from? Where am I going?
Who Is Alpha For?
Alpha is for anyone…anyone who thinks there may be more to life than meets the eye.
People attend from all backgrounds, religions, and viewpoints. They come to investigate questions about the existence of God, the purpose of life, the afterlife, the claims of Jesus and more. Some people want to get beyond religion and find a relationship with God that really changes life. Others come for the close, long-lasting friendships that are built during the Alpha course.
Many guests have never been to church, others may have attended church occasionally but feel they have never really understood the basics of the Christian faith.
