Heart for the House
Over the past 28 years, thousands of lives have been changed in our House. Weary and broken hearts have found a safe place of refuge within our walls. Marriages have been strengthened and restored, destinies have been discovered, healthy relationships have been built, addictions have been broken, the prodigal son and daughter have been welcomed home, but most importantly, people have come to know Christ. All this happens in our House.
Changed lives are contagious. Each week our church family is reaching out to friends and family, and bringing them to church. Oasis Kids and Youth Ministries are growing. Celebrate Recovery had to move to the main auditorium as it outgrew a smaller classroom. 1500+ people were a part of Connect Groups this year, and we have outreach happening at Oasis almost every day of the week.
With rapid growth comes growing pains and challenges for us to solve together.
- Challenges like not enough parking at the 11:30am service, or needing more room to better serve Oasis families and kids.
- The challenge of not being able to gather all our church together at one time, in one space, because our theatre only seats 600 people.
- The challenge of the wear and tear on Oasis Theatre as it is used every single day of the week for services, discipleship, community gatherings and outreach.
- But, the biggest challenge is having to turn people away because there is no more room to park or sit in a service.
It is time for us to find a larger house to accommodate our growing church family, continue to reach the lost and make room for even more lives to be changed.
2012 marks the beginning of a 2-year journey for our church to find a larger house. This journey will require faith, courage and sacrifice, and we want you to be a part.
We are asking all of our Oasis family to have a HEART FOR THE HOUSE. A heart that is generous and willing to sacrifice in order to build a church in Los Angeles that will reach more people and serve the generations to come.

We are asking our church family to commit to giving sacrificially each month for the next 2 years. Our goal is to raise $7 million. This will enable us to purchase and prepare a new home for Oasis Church.
If everyone does their part, we will be able to reach this goal, and drastically increase our capacity to reach more people for Christ. We will build a place for even more lives to be changed.
CREATIVE WAYS TO GIVE SACRIFICIALLY
1. Sacrifice cable. Cable can cost anywhere from $30-100 a month. Sacrifice and redirect your cable funds to Heart for the House, and you could give $720-2400 in 2 years.
2. Sacrifice a plane ticket. Choose to spend the holidays in LA with your Oasis family, and redirect your travels funds to build God’s house.
3. Commit to give your income tax refund to the Heart for the House campaign the next 2 years.
4. Sacrifice a daily habit. Choose to make your coffee at home, and you could redirect over $2000 to Heart for the House over the next 2 years.
5. Sacrifice something special. We all have something that we treasure – a collectible baseball card, vintage record, collector’s coin, favorite designer purse, or limited edition sneakers. Sell the item, and donate the funds to building God’s House.
