Honor to whom honor is due

I was reading Craig Groeschel’s Blog and got inspired so - today I’d like to honor a few people:

My wife: Holly is my best friend.  She has a genuine and refreshing faith in God.  I love how she expresses her love to our children. She has an amazing gift to connect with people and touch their life. She loves me when I’m admirable and more importantly – she loves me when I require ‘extra grace’ (mostly that).

My daughter: Paris is graduating High School next month.  She loves children in a way that is deeper than what we mean when we say about most people, “…they love children.”  She has a beautiful singing voice.  When she says good stuff about me – I melt. She’s made some great decisions in her life because of her faith in Jesus.

My son: Jordan has been in my daily thoughts for 23 years.  First my ‘little buddy’ to now – a young man I admire. He’s growing in his faith in a way that inspires me. He’s used his gifts to help us raise close to $1 million for social justice - that’s amazing.

My Staff:  I’m so grateful to my staff members who serve so faithfully and sacrificially. Most successes in our church (beyond the Holy Spirit) are because of them.  Too many to mention here… but a few honorable mentions are Alex & Shunna Jones-Moreno, Nicole Reyes, Dan & Michelle Lutz, Robyn Koontz, Dave Greider, Daniel Rivera and Kristen Tarsiuk.

My Church:  The people at Oasis are amazing. I’d rather be with them than anyone. They are passionate, willing, energetic, desiring God, available to serve  - the best I’ve ever seen.

A Pastor & Friend:  I have a few… but today I’m thinking about Bayless Conley – He pastors Cottonwood Christian Center.  He’s a good man, father, husband, leader, fisherman (real fish – not just spiritual ones) a baseball fan – he inspires me.

My Savior: I want to honor Jesus. He’s the reason for it all. He’s the one who died so we could live. He gives me everything that matters. It is Him that I want to honor.

Feel free to honor anyone you would like to…

Great post! I would like to honor my God and Father for choosing us to be his children and people and for bringing us to Christ. I want to honor Jesus Christ, my Lord and Savior for revealing our Father to us. I want to honor Pastors Philip and Holly and all leaders and staff at Oasis Church for the wonderful work you do and for keeping my sister and me coming back every week. I want to honor my family, whom I love so much. I pray and I ask that you pray for their unsaved souls. They need to know Jesus and I hope that by our prayers and by God's will, they will come to Christ soon. Thanks!!!
