The power of ‘thank you’.

When gratitude comes from your heart – it protects your mind.  Gratitude changes your attitude.

It is impossible to be grateful and depressed at the same moment.

This is the secret to changing your focus and mood.

Telling someone ‘thank you’ – ‘I appreciate you’ or ‘I appreciate what you have done’ makes a big difference in their mind.

Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus. 1 Thess. 5.18

It is the will of God for us – to find a reason to give thanks in every situation – in every circumstance.

Here are some things I’m thankful for…

1.  Church – Oasis

I have more friends, more purpose and more opportunity because of the church.  Thank God for His church.  This is His idea.  I thank God for Oasis – an amazing group of people – loving our world in Jesus name. 

Today – there is a team in Uganda loving AIDS orphans, a team in Santa Monica feeding the homeless – last Sunday there was a theater full of people worshipping God and praying for those who have needs…

I love our church.  Oasis has made me a better man.

2.  Holly Wagner

My wife has loved me and encouraged me – she is an inspiration.  She has made me a better man.

3.  Paris Wagner

My daughter – I’m thankful for her.  She loves God, loves children, loves horses – loves me. 

4.  Jordan Wagner

My son – is growing in his faith and calling in life.  I’m thankful that He is passionate about making a difference.

5.  Friends

Those who love me, walk with me, understand me, forgive me and open their life to me. Priceless.

6. NY Yankees

Let’s be honest. The best sports franchise in American history.  People love to hate them – I love to cheer them on. 

7.  Health

Younger people don’t think about this much.  But when a person is sick, injured or weak – we become aware of how valuable this is. Feeling good today!

8.  Music

I love all kinds.  It’s a daily part of my life. Thank God for music. Especially ‘new country’ …and worship …and Christmas music …and rock n roll

9.  Kobe B

I live in LA.  There are plenty of losers here.  Dodgers have collapsed.  Clippers are near there usual home – bottom of the standing.  The Galaxy seen better years – I’m thankful for the Lakers!  Thanks Kobe!

10. Jesus

Forgiveness, grace, peace, love, vision, purpose – The Ultimate Gift.
