Our mission is to create an environment that is fun, creative, and Biblical, where Kids can encounter Jesus.

Overview

Full Kids Ministry is provided from Birth - 4th grade during our 9am, 11am and 1pm Adult Worship Services, & from 0-5 years during our 6pm service. We have a wonderfully trained staff, and every Dream Team Volunteer has undergone reference and background checks, and a personal interview for the security of our children. Parents, we invite you to visit your child's classroom during any Kids Service to meet our Dream Team volunteer leaders and see the careful, creative attention they give to your children. Simply check in at any Kids sign-in kiosk for a Guest Pass.

If you would like to know more about Oasis Kids, please contact Lori Ann Piscioneri, Director of Oasis Kids, at 1-818-287-8055 or LoriAnn@OasisLA.org.

Details

  • We begin accepting children into the classrooms 30 minutes before the start of each worship service.
  • Parents are given a security tag when checking a child into the classroom and must return it in order to pick up their child; no child will ever be released without the parent presenting their security tag.
  • Upon check-in, parents will be asked to provide an emergency contact number.
  • If an Oasis Kids staff member needs to contact you, you’ll be notified via text or a call on your mobile phone.
  • We maintain a “two-adult rule” classroom policy. There must be at least two volunteers in a classroom before we will begin accepting children. Children are never allowed to leave the classroom without adult supervision.
  • The children in our care are always accompanied to the restroom by one of our adult volunteers, but our volunteers never take a child to the restroom alone. Men do not assist young children in the bathroom stall or change diapers.

3 - 5 Year Olds

Location: Sound Stage | All Gatherings

At this age, kids start to learn what it means to love God and one another, and they should have lots of fun in the process! Our volunteer team teaches the children about the basics of their faith in Jesus Christ through lessons based on stories of the Bible in ways that are easy to understand. They sing great worship songs with lots of movement, watch live puppet shows, play games, and work on cool projects that encourage creativity and help reinforce the lesson.

What should parents bring?

If your Preschool child has dietary restrictions, please bring something he/she can snack on during class should they get hungry. Otherwise, we will provide a healthy snack.

Kindergarten to 4th grade

Location: Screening Room |  At 9 AM11 AM & 1 PM Gatherings

Kids relate to our exciting and engaging gatherings and have a ton of fun! They learn how to develop Godly character and become followers of Jesus Christ through interactive, visual Bible lessons that utilize a cool mixed-media format. They participate in great worship music led by their peers, watch showcases of live dramas, and play fun games that support the lesson. They are also part of dynamic small groups, filled with prayer and personal one-on-one discussions where friendships are formed that will last a lifetime.

What should parents bring?

  • An age-appropriate Bible for your child if they have one
  • Out of concern for the severe food allergies of some of our kids, we ask parents to REFRAIN from allowing your child to bring food or drink into the classroom. Water IS permitted

GLUE is a ministry for children who have physical and/or developmental challenges.  We meet in a unique learning environment for kids to experience the love of Christ and grow their faith in God.

At Oasis, we believe all children should be included in our Kids experiences, so we’ve created a team of trained volunteer coaches who provide one-on-one assistance to children with unique needs or disabilities, enabling them to fully participate in our Kids experiences. Each child is matched with a volunteer coach to give them the best experience possible for learning about God’s love.

GLUE=Giving, Loving, Understanding, Encouraging. This team is the "glue" that gives uniquely gifted children access to Oasis Kids!

What does a GLUE Coach do?

Coaches offer physical assistance and behavior intervention. They help facilitate communication with others and provide overall assistance to enable the child’s participation in Oasis Kids experiences.

Is any child eligible to receive assistance from GLUE?

Yes, anyone who regularly attends Oasis is eligible for this ministry and no membership is required.

I would like a GLUE Coach for my child. How do I apply?

For more info please contact Lori Ann Piscioneri, Kids Pastor, at 818-287-8055 or LoriAnn@OasisLA.org.

How long does the process take?

We try to find a volunteer who matches your child and their specific needs. It may take a week or a month, but we will work with you to find the right person for your child. Our goal is for the volunteer and parent to form a solid partnership that can become a lasting friendship for the child.

What is the training and screening process for GLUE Coaches?

Some of our volunteers have educational and professional experience in child development and disabilities, but this training is not required. However, every volunteer undergoes training, a background check, and a personal interview for the security of our children.

Can my child attend Oasis Kids without having a GLUE Coach?

Whenever either your child is unassigned, or your coach is not available, we encourage families to bring their child into class, but for the safety of all the children, parents should always be prepared to spend time in the classroom or take their child out of service if necessary.

“Then Jesus said to his host, “When you give a luncheon or dinner, do not invite your friends, your brothers or sisters, your relatives, or your rich neighbors; if you do, they may invite you back and so you will be repaid. But when you give a banquet, invite the poor, the crippled, the lame, the blind, and you will be blessed. Although they cannot repay you, you will be repaid at the resurrection of the righteous.”  Luke 14:12-14

For more info about the GLUE Team, please contact Lori Ann Piscioneri, Kids Pastor, at 818-287-8055 or LoriAnn@OasisLA.org.

Studio 58 provides a fun and safe environment for pre-teens to be discipled. Every leader in our team has been background checked and has a heart for all the kids who come through the doors. We teach them the importance of worship, fellowship, evangelism, and the Word of God. At the end of service we have connect groups where the kids discuss what they learned and how they can apply it to everyday life. Our main goal is to equip them with all the tools they need to stand firm in their faith and bring others alongside with them.

What should parents bring?

  • An age appropriate bible for your child if they have one, a pen and notepad.

Child Dedications

Child Dedications

Children are a gift from God! We love kids and are committed to teaching them about Jesus. Child Dedications is our way of publicly declaring that commitment and partnering with parents to help raise children in God’s House. We hold Child Dedications at Oasis throughout the year.

For more information on how to get your child dedicated, contact Kids@OasisLA.org.

Mentorship

Mentorship

Kids need healthy relationships in their lives. We create safe, fun environments where we partner adults and kids as mentors and mentees. Kids are influenced by Christ-like character and servant-leadership, and shown how to develop their own relationship with God. Boys and girls, ages 6 – 12, are eligible to participate.

For more information on how to get you or your child involved, contact Kids@OasisLA.org.

Single Parenting

Single Parenting

God created us to do life together. We partner with single parents to provide care, encouragement, and love to kids and parents alike. We offer small groups, creative events, parenting classes, and more.

Water Baptism

Water Baptism

Water baptism is a public declaration of an inward decision to follow Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior. As we are immersed in and then come out of the water, it symbolizes our new beginning in Christ. Children can make this decision to get water baptized, and we want to honor their understanding and have them participate in this significant step in the journey of faith.

For more information on how to get you or your child baptized, contact Kids@OasisLA.org.

KidCare

KidCare

During all church-wide events, we offer FREE childcare for parents through our KidCare program. Kids are cared for by trained volunteers who have been background checked and interviewed. We play with the kids, teach fun games, read Bible stories, do crafts, pray, and worship together.

For more information on how to get your child involved, contact Kids@OasisLA.org.

KidClub

KidClub

Our KidClub provides an arts curriculum centered around grooming Praise and Worship Leaders of the Now Generation. It is our mission to produce young leaders who are rooted in the awareness of who they are in Jesus Christ and educate them on how their unique, God-given talents will equip them to minister throughout their lives.
